An Introduction to Electro-Acupuncture for absolute beginners - Saturday March 1st 2025

Maybe you were introduced to electroacupuncture briefly whilst training, or maybe you’ve never used this ancillary therapy at all! Electroacupuncture is simple and easy to use once you gain confidence with it.


If you are already confident in using electro-acupuncture, this course isn’t for you!


There will be a brief taught part of the day at the start covering the basics of electro-acupuncture, including:

  • Different types of waveforms and when they are appropriate

  • The physiological effect of electro-acupuncture

  • Creating your own treatment strategies

  • Electroacupuncture research

  • Safety and contraindications


The bulk of the day will be practical where you will practice common electro-acupuncture protocols for treating:

  • Musculoskeletal pain in the spine and limbs, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc.

  • Inflammatory conditions

  • Diabetic or Chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy

  • Digestive conditions

  • Gynaecology, including PCOS

  • IVF support


By the end of the day, you should be comfortable treating a wide range of conditions using electroacupuncture.


Please note: the total number of attendees will be limited to 12. If you have your own machine, you are welcome to bring it. Needles, sharps bins and electroacupuncture devices will be provided on-site for you to practice with.


Eligibility: Attendees must

  • Have their own practitioner insurance.

  • Be willing to give and receive electro-acupuncture, and possibly model for demonstrations.
