About Us
The City College of Acupuncture is an integral part of the The City College which was established in 1979. The City College of Acupuncture has its own website to enable prospective students to find us easily and to give insight into the specific requirements of studying and practicing acupuncture.
Our key lecturers have all known and worked with each other for years and leapt at the chance to put together the course that they wish they had all studied on! With a few hand-picked new faces to keep the curriculum fresh, they have created a course that has a keen focus on both clinical and business skills. Our aim is to train successful practitioners.

We run a professional in-depth, three-year degree-level course as dictated by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB), with whom we are fully accredited. BAAB accredited courses are the gold standard of the profession, ensuring a solid basis of professional knowledge, attitudes, values and skills. We will give you a degree-level education without the academic constraints (or costs) of a degree. We run very hands-on courses!

You will be getting hands-on experience from the moment you arrive, culminating in the 400 hours you spend in a clinical setting. Our courses emphasise the practical skills required to become a self-motivating, skillful and confident practitioner.

The City College of Acupuncture clinic offers a flexible multi-bay environment. This means that our teaching staff can easily supervise you whilst you develop your skills as an Acupuncturist or Tui Na therapist.

The business element of our course will prepare you to work privately or in the NHS and to establish your own multi-bed practice if that appeals to you.
The City College of Acupuncture course has been designed to create fantastic practitioners. Don’t be put off by the thought that you require any previous specialist training – we will teach you everything you need to know to become a professional therapist.
