Accreditations
New course starting in September 2024

Our three-year acupuncture courses run across two days in college each week with additional home study.

The City College of Acupuncture courses are fully accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB). BAAB accreditation guarantees excellence in training, safe practice and professional conduct.

The BAAB assesses course documentation, has discussions with the course team and students, checks the appropriateness of students’ assessed work, scrutinises the External Examiner’s reports, and observes teaching in the classroom, the clinic and online. It ensures that accredited courses are taught at degree level, and embody the critical awareness and academic rigour equivalent to other professional healthcare programmes at this level.

BAAB accredited courses offer a thorough grounding in Chinese medicine theory along with anatomy, physiology, and appropriate Western medical sciences in order to promote an integrated understanding of both traditional Eastern and modern Western approaches to healthcare.

Although the BAAB is the accrediting body, your Licentiate Diploma in Acupuncture will be awarded by The City College of Acupuncture.

Graduates of BAAB accredited courses are eligible to join the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the UK’s main registering body for Traditional Acupuncturists.
Tui Na
