Treating Musculoskeletal Conditions using Traditional East Asian Medicine and Western Medicine – An Integrated Approach (4-5 May)

with Alex Brazkiewicz

The hardest part in any treatment is correct diagnosis. Channel palpation was a major part of diagnosis in the classical physician’s repertoire, where the physiology of the channels (applied channel theory) was studied alongside zang fu, yin/yang and wu xing. In addition, the beauty of Traditional East Asian Medicine (TEAM) is the wide array of modalities available to treat the patient – including Acupuncture, Tuina, Herbs, Moxibustion, Ba Guan, Gua Sha, Bleeding, Qi Gong and Tai Qi.

This 2 day workshop is practically based and has been designed to enable a practitioner to utilize channel palpation together with applied channel theory and to integrate them with modern western diagnostic methods and the various modalities of TEAM to increase accurate diagnosis and treatment of Channel Sinew and Musculoskeletal conditions.

The course includes class notes and an advised pre-read package (forwarded on receipt of payment) and will be limited to 12 participants to maximise the practical time and individual feedback.

Alex Brazkiewicz is an Acupuncturist and Tuina practitioner, a martial arts student & teacher and student of osteopathy. Alex has a clinic in Worcester where he operates a community-based system.

Pre-requisites: Acupuncture practitioners, Tuina practitioners and final year students of either discipline. Please note that this course is limited to 12 participants, so book early to avoid disappointment.
